This is a cake-like bread, that is a vanilla or banana flavor.
As I do always do it my ways.....
I have made: pumpkin, gingerbread, and chocolate flavor.
I made a loaf of bread out of the starter....
Yes! I said it starter!
The Amish "start" the starter and pass it on to their "friends." I am glad to say that a grand friend gave me a bag of the starter, along with the 10 day growing instructions and baking recipe, and I did flips; because I am very much into bread making and SOUR DOUGH! It is great at Tea Time, with jam. It wakes you up in the morning. MIDNIGHT milk and bread! WOOT! WOOT! Sleep tight.
The batch in the photo was wrapped up and given WARM to my neighbors on Christmas day.
