Almond Biscotti

You Will Need (13 things)

  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Sliced Almonds
  • Spoon
  • Frying Pan
  • Bread Knife
  • Blender
  • Mixing Bowl(s)
  • Baking Tray
  • 3 x Egg(s)
  • 3 cup Plain Flour
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 ½ cup Sugar
  • 4 tsp Vanilla Essence

Steps (7 steps, 60 minutes)

    Blend together the eggs, vanilla and sugar.

    Mix the flour, baking soda and salt together in a bowl.

  3. 3

    Toast the almonds in a dry frying pan for a minute or so until they are golden brown.

    Mix in the wet egg mixture in to the dry ingredients.

    Mix in the toasted almonds.

  6. 6

    Roll the dough out on a flowered surface and roll in to three separate loafs. Place on a greased baking tray and sprinkle with sugar.

    Bake in an oven for 30 minutes at 400°F. Leave to cool and then cut the loafs in to diagonal slices about an inch thick. Return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
