When I moved into my apartment I wanted a place to hang up all my belts and necklaces where they would be easily accessible. (If something isn't in plain sight I tend to forget about it.) So, I made this accessory holder/thingie and put it on the wall right next to my earring rack. It doubles as a key holder!

Description

When I moved into my apartment I wanted a place to hang up all my belts and necklaces where they would be easily accessible. (If something isn't in plain sight I tend to forget about it.) So, I made this accessory holder/thingie and put it on the wall right next to my earring rack. It doubles as a key holder!

Instructions

  1. Cut a piece of ribbon to the length you need to hold all of your accessories. For reference, the ribbon in the photos is 12 inches long. You will need enough room for the tacks to be evenly spaced. Choose a wall that you don't mind making holes in.

  2. Making sure it is level, anchor the ribbon to your wall one each end with two jumbo tacks. I matched my tacks and ribbon with similar colors.

  3. Evenly space more jumbo tacks along the length of the ribbon, in between the ones on each end. Make sure they are centered in the middle of the ribbon so they line up nicely. (Take my advice: my tacks are not that even, as you can see.) Now you can hang up your belts, necklaces, bracelets, and other accessories! :)
