Description

my mother has a million books at home that collect dust so i used one and made this secret book to hide all my valuables. I sorry i didn't take pictures Dx

Instructions

  1. First i cut out the papers of the ENTIRE book that took forever maybe 6 hours but I had plenty of time. I used the outline of the paragraphs on the page to cut out the pages. this leaves a 1/2 inch on all the sides of the book.

  2. After I cut out all the papers of the book and it was near perfect on the inside (i had to go back and fix a few pages that were a little off) and with the glue I mixed it with a little bit of water and painted it on the outside of the book pages. I did a few layers so the pages won't split open later. Also paint the inside pages so nothing falls apart later. Next take a big heavy book and place it on top of the book but leave the front cover open so it doesn't stick to pages. i let that dry over night.

  3. The next morning the glue was dry and it was time to decorate! :D I used the glue stick to stick on pictures of my daughter and me. I cut out stuff from my graduation invitations and a old drawings of a rose i did, and a sticker i got from a local metal show >:D and added confetti to fill in the empty spaces. I left the outside of the book blank so it would look like a ordinary book but if you want you can decorate the outside of the book :b

  4. After the inside looks all pretty the way you want it take your ribbon and make sure it can fit around the book and tie. Next take the hot glue gun and glue the ribbon to the back and let dry. I hope you understand I feel like a do a horrible job on explaining this :b
