Once again I found this at a yard sale and didn't like how the top felt tight so i made it into a skirt :D
Once again I found this at a yard sale and didn't like how the top felt tight so i made it into a skirt :D
First I cut the top of the dress off under the armpit this leaves a 2 inch space for the waistband.
Next I pinned down the material over the elastic band to form a casing ( this band was already sewed together at the ends so i had to do the casing.
Since the elastic band was already sewn together at the ends i had to use a chair to expand the material so it won't be all bunched up and hard to sew. next I sew the closest i could to the existing seam line to make my stitching invisible and yeah thats it c: (the skirt is blue in this picture because of the natural light in this room, it's actually a dark purple)
