About
pin up style polka dot halter
i got this somewhat sheer polka dot fabric from my granny (so this material is probably older than me again) and i figured what better use for polka dots than a halter :)
it has a sweetheart neckline, princess seams and and a gathered circle skirt.

Here are some similar tutorials to help you make this one!
i followed a tutorial for a contour bust from here:
http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/contour-bust-dress-and-tute
i lengthened it to stop at my waist....i also didnt have a printer, so i measured the test square (the one that says 4cmx4cm) and traced it off my computer screen
i STRONGLY suggest you do a mock up first, as you may have to adjust it to your size, ESPECIALLY the bust. my bust size is small, so what i did was sew a trial version, then pin it to fit my bust size. then i unpicked the seam, traced the shape of the PINNED pattern piece onto paper and used that as my new pattern.
also, instead of a rectangle, i used a circle skirt. i cut the hole for the waist larger than necessary, so that i coul gather it and make it look fuller.
i hope this was helpful! <3
