3D Kandi Stars
3D Kandi stars are a little tricky to make but you can use them as pendents I use mine as hair bobbles you just glue a bobble to one side, if you need any help please just message me and I'll explain it as simple as I can.

I also sell these if you can't make them yourself, if you'd like one please message me.

  • How to bead a beaded shape. 3 D Kandi Star - Step 1
    Step 1

Get all your stuff out ready, and make sure you have space to work in.

I used 3 colours so I sorted my beads out I took 30 of each colour.

I got my beads from Hobbycraft (I'm in the UK, but I know Walmart sells them in the US)

Using your scissors cut a length of streachy string that goes from the tip of your index finger on your left hand to your shoulder on your right.

    Step 2

Once you've cut your string put a bull clip (or any kind of clip on one end). This is just to help keep the beads from slipping off.

    Step 3

Take 5 beads and string them onto the end of your string, make sure they go all the way to the clip.

    Step 4

After you have strung the beads on take the clip off and move beads up a little, tie the two strings together.

You should have a short piece and a very long piece, cut off both and discard the short one.

    Step 5

Take you long string and clip it at one end again, now take your loose end throught one of the beads.

    Step 6

Take another colour bead (or you can use one colour all the way through) and sting it onto the string, take the string through the next bead and carry on all the way around, you'll use 5 beads.

    Step 7

Once again tie off the strings and then cut them off, you should have something like this

  • How to bead a beaded shape. 3 D Kandi Star - Step 8
    Step 8

Take your long string again and put it through one of the points (pink beads) and string on 3 more beads, then thread through the next top bead and continue until your back at the start

  • How to bead a beaded shape. 3 D Kandi Star - Step 9
    Step 9

Tie off and cut off the strings you should now have a star.

Now make another star following the steps.

    Step 10

Now take your string again and go through the top point on the 3 beads you just added and string on 3 more beads, go through next point and continue until you reach the beginning again.

Pull string tight and the beads should move upwards forming a bowl shape, which I'll put up in next pic.

Do this on both stars. Put one to one side and continue to work on the other for the next steps.

    Step 11

    Bowl shape

  • How to bead a beaded shape. 3 D Kandi Star - Step 12
    Step 12

Take your string and go through the middle bead on the row you just added and string on 5 beads, then go through the middle bead on the next group and continue all the way around.

It should look kind of like a flower (see next step for pic)

Tie off and make sure to tie it tightly so the star doesn't come apart in the next step.

  • How to bead a beaded shape. 3 D Kandi Star - Step 13
    Step 13

This is the trickiest part I think.

Take your bowl shape and place it on top of the "flower" shape.

Take your string and put it through the middle pink bead (or whatever colour you use)

Take the string up through the 5 beads you added on the last part of the flower and the back down to the next pink middle bead, do this all the way around.

Tie it off very tightly and cut off the strings, I add a little drop of clear nail polish to the knot to keep it in place.

You can now attatch it to a chain, a bobble or anything else you can think of.

    Step 14

    Finished stars.
