You have to measure: 1. Arms (length and thickness) 2. form shoulders to the length wished 3. Back 4. Waist 5. Bust 6. Neck 7. Hips Divide the measurements (leaving 2cm extra for every peace, and make: -2 exact pieces from shoulder to leg and half of the back (back and front) -2 arms (cut one end in 45 DEGREES ANGLE AND SEW IT WITH THE HALF PEACE OF DRESS) it should look like this
now join both half together Sew from your bust to your waist (with a curve, just like in the picture, in the front and in the back in order to adjust it to your body (make it fit perfectly)
make a 5cm(thick), 60cm(length) ribbon with the fabric and added as a neck Also you should add the same 5cm(thick) ribbon (length depends on your arms thickness) to the ends of both sleeves AS FOR THE WAY TO CLOSE THE GABAN/DRESS, YOU CAN USE BUTTONS, A ZIPPER, BRA CLIPS OR VELCRO (is up to you)
Now that we have the bagan/dress, we can start adding buttons, the lace and details..... I open the dress like to show "cleavage" and sewed it then add a lace. I also add some colorful big buttons on the sleeves.
I made like half a bow with the neck endings, I found it pretty and original
Then I made a 3D rose with the fabric (as shown in the 3D Rose by Zassy 2.4) the same ribbon we made for the neck!! and attached it to a belt I made out of old tights, and placed it around my waist I sewed the big colorful buttons on top of the "half bow" neck endings and on the sleeves
And here you go!!.....I wanted to add the same black lace in the ends of the dress (skirt) but I run out of it :C..... I hope you like it!!!! :D
