My friend loves doing puzzles so I made this for her birthday, almost all of the supplies are stuff just lying around the house. (But I went to dollar tree for some of mine)
My friend loves doing puzzles so I made this for her birthday, almost all of the supplies are stuff just lying around the house. (But I went to dollar tree for some of mine)
First use some kind of photo software to make a stencil type picture, you will need two of them for the 3 D effect. I used photoshop and the photocopy effect also my printer was low on ink but it didn't matter because I used marker to fill in the picture in colored areas. First part I did black.
Second picture I did red, and if your wondering I did 2 5'7s on a page since I am going to be using an 8 by 10 frame and wanted to add a little more. Also I printed on a glossy photo paper.
Next you get a cheap puzzle, I got this chunky Dora one from my local dollar tree. But you really don't need a whole puzzle any pieces lying around your house will do.
Next you trace a couple of pieces on to one of your pics. (One pic will be cut up for puzzle pieces and the other will stay intact to be the background)
Cut out the shape and then glue them to the backgound pic. I used a hot glue gun because the pieces were heavier.
Place them in alternating places for more appeal to the puzzle 3D effect.
Im doing the frame background red so I used my black sharpie marker to color some black pieces.
Since my pieces are bigger I colored the back of the frame with red spraypaint instead of doing a cardstock background.
Center your pic and put some random black pieces to the red background. Again I used the hot glue gun for attatching everything.
Now put it in your frame and enjoy the special 3 D Puzzle Photo. I wasn't going for a vampirish look but I guess it came out alright.
