I made this for my BFs 21st bday. It was my first time using frosting tips so it came out a lil sloppy. I decorated the board w/ribbon to hide my lil smudges and mistakes. :)
I made this for my BFs 21st bday. It was my first time using frosting tips so it came out a lil sloppy. I decorated the board w/ribbon to hide my lil smudges and mistakes. :)
First I baked the cupcakes and let them cool so the frosting would set better. Then I arranged the cupcakes on the board into a 21 & set them on the board by adding a lil bit of frosting to bottom of each cupcake. Next I mixed some blue coloring to the white frosting and frost all the cupcakes together. Then I made some black frosting and used a #16 frosting tip to make the border around the cupcakes and used a #3 tip to make the dots on.
Finally I made a penguin cupcake (that's his favorite animal that's why i choose a penguin). I started by frosting the whole cupcake black then using white frosting a made an 8 shape for the body. Then using the #3 tip again & some yellow frosting i made some triangle shapes for the peak & feet. Then I just added two lil dots for the eyes. And VOILA!
