Hooray!
I live in Norway. On our national day we like dressing in our traditional costume, bunad, waving flags and singing songs.

Bunads are very expensive so some of us (like me) must settle with wearing our best clothes and a pin or brooch in the colors from our flag. The brooches we wear are usually of a cheap and boring quality so when I found instructions to crochet one I lit up.

There are several reasons I chose not to use that pattern and make my own from scratch instead. It took two tries before I got it the way I wanted.

This is my first pattern, made with the knowledge I've gathered from all the crocheting I've enjoyed lately. So as you see, crocheting is real easy and a lot of fun!

Feel free to use whatever colors you want :) Let me know if I made any mistakes.
