The Whole Works Halloween Swap

Haha.
I have so far managed to refrain from purchasing any halloween stash this year, however, thats probably has a lot to do with the fact that i have actively avoided those aisles so far....
or because HE has been with me and its always easier to not buy stuff "just because" when you have a witness Happy

Of course, my mum is coming to visit this weekend so no doubt there'll be a round of craft & knitting stores, so I may have to revise my previous statement....

Quick question! Is the inchie required for the swap? Or suggested?

ahh dyslexia how do i love thee? let me count the ways....
im dyslexic, so is my fiancé, apparently we have different types of dyslexia, mine is memory-related, his is spelling.

Bindii, you just reminded me to send out your stash swap. i made something for u, then remembered u have a daughter who is likely to "borrow" it so i made a spare lol

Awe I'll be on vacation then unless my partner would be ok with a later send out date like the 10th or something.... If not I'll have to withdraw from the swap =

Aww Nikki, that's so sweet of you Happy

It works the other way too...I'm forever "borrowing" her double-sided tape ;P

*I'm living in fear of the day she discovers my shoes finally fit! She's only got one size to go, then I'll need to think about fitting a biometric locking system to the cupboard. ;D
Although she did already borrow a pair for doing a still-life painting at school (that was traumatic!! MY Babies + a room full of teens, with paint = sleepless nights)

I wouldn't mind waiting a bit, if you want to partner me, Tiffany (and I would promise to leave the severed hand at home...)

Hi Kat!
I've sent you a PM, but forgot to add: do you want to count this as your Newbie vs Vet swap? Because once you've completed that, it opens up lots more swaps. If you do, sign up on the Newbie Vs Vet Swap (New again) thread and mention that that's what you'd like to do.

Off to work then home to clean before my mum comes for the weekend.
Of course, I'll probably just come home, shove everything behind the sofa and play with paper instead....

lol @ bindii, I do that all the time, my house is clutter behind the sofa and drifts of paper everywhere else, luckily my friends and family ignore it and just love me anyway. I think it helps that if they need cards in a hurry they can count on me.Libby has pmed me so we're all set to go.

Hei Bindiibabe! Hands off my Newbie! Happy

Joking aside, Kat has already signed up for the Newbie vs Vet swap, I asked her "will you be my Newbie?" and she said yes, so we're now man and newbie. Whops, I meant vet and wife. Well, whatever Happy

What I meant to say was: you can go ahead with this swap like a regular one ;)

a quick question, matchboxes: best made from paper or card?

You guys crack me up!

Bindii, I don't have couches anymore to shove stuff behind *sad face* Our house is soo TINY that we got rid of our couches so I could have a desk to craft at XD

Figured u'd be too busy knee-deep in hama beads Mary ;P
I wasn't trying to steal her away...honest...I even checked back a few pages on the newbie board to see if Kat had already signed up, don't know how I missed her...
I hope you're both very happy together Happy

Nikki: card is best, but not too thick, otherwise its hard to double-fold neatly if you're using the template from earlier Happy

Siobhan: behind the sofa is a bit of an understatement, our living room is kinda L-shaped and theres a 2seater sofa across the bit where the wee end & the big end meet. The wee end houses bookshelfs, piano, guitars & what is euphemistically called my craft "corner" - in the past fortnight it has slowly ebbed its way across the entire area back there.....
