The Stash & Craft Swap ^__^

*A-rhump*... so, this is going to be tricky to explain, so please gather round.

The idea behind the Stash & Craft swap is that you swap both stash AND your crafting ability. One moment, I'll explain.

This swap is made of two parts: for the first part, everybody who will sign up will be required to send their partner a SMALL amount of stash. It's tricky to set a value limit that can fit all the countries and currencies represented here, so I'm not even trying. Instead I'm saying the item/s should be light and small enough to fit in a standard envelope and, as a rule of thumb, shouldn't be worth more than a few bucks (whatever your currency is) so please no gold or gems, thanks Happy

When the partners receive their envelope, the second part begins: every partner has now a week's time to craft something she knows her partner will like with the stash she found inside the envelope.

As we said the amount of stash is going to be small, so of course you're allowed to add to the project whatever material you need to complete it - but the idea should come from the very stash your partner sent you. When the item is complete, you send it back to the person who originally sent you the stash, and the swap is completed.

Sorry for the mess, but I assure you it's really easier to do than to explain. I'll make an example for everybody to understand.

Me and, say, Pammerz are going to be partners in this swap (sorry Pam, I hope you don't mind being used as an example) ^__^°°°

First, Pammerz sends me a small bag of buttons and I send her some hama beads. And this is the stash part. Next, I make earrings out of her buttons and she makes a coaster out of my hama beads, and we send what we made back to our partner. And this is the craft part ^___^

*Wew!* Now that I'm done explaining the lot, the boring bit:

SIGNUP CLOSES ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 30th (GMT +1).

PARTNERS WILL BE POSTED ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31st (GMT +1).

SENDOUT DATE FOR THE STASH PART IS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th (plenty of time I'd say).

SENDOUT DATE FOR THE CRAFT PART IS ONE WEEK AFTER YOU RECEIVE THE STASH.

!! IMPORTANT !!
This swap requires a double shipping fee. It is *vital* that we keep all the envelopes and final crafts *lightweight*. Remember: less is more. A few beads, some fabric, a piece of polyshrink are enough for your partner's creativity to get to work. Keep it simple.

To make the shipping fees cheaper I'll be trying to pair up people in the same country/area.

TO NEWBIES: sorry, you need to have completed your Newbie/Vet swap to join this swap.

Let's see if anybody thinks this is a good idea... ^___^°°°

Can't crochet or knit, would prefer not to receive items that have to be cooked unless there are cooking instructions, same with things that need ironing like hama beads. oh and nothing that has to be printed from a computer in colour like a colour transfer. sorry if i sound fussy
