I would love to do a three-way swap! so we make 6 earrings and send 3 to each partner?

I see we all three have filled in our profile, so maybe we can use that to be sure the other will like the earring? what do you two think?

Hey Heather and Jolanda, I'm sending your earrings today. I'm so pleased I found 2 envelopes with unfranked stamps on today- so I don't have to pay postage- Yay!

Ok Miss Smartypants!
The new coffee shop in town are hosting a "Quick and Dirty" speed crafting event tonight, so i'm sloping off to that instead of getting on with my stuff Happy

I wish places near me did craft nights. All I can find in Worcester is a knitting/crochet group. : (

We found a new coffee shop on Saturday (there was an online deal where for £2 you could buy a voucher to exchange for a tea/coffee/hot choc and a slice of cake/muffin/pastry, worth £4.50 so we figured we'd give it a go and took the kid after his music lessons. It's ace! There's booth seating at the front and sofas etc at the back. The back wall is floor to ceiling bookshelves and you can just help yourself to a book (theres about half a shelf of crafty ones Happy ) theres also scrabble and a chess set and a gameboy for customer use.

Anyways, there was a poster advertising tonights event so I thought "WTH, might as well" and booked it there and then. It occurred to me last night that i should mibbee check whats involved so dropped the organisers an email. turns out your £10 covers all materials and tuition and theres a bunch of things to try. Tonights offerings include plastic bag fused bunting, bath bombs, fabric flowers, machine embroidery and felt scented hearts. Figured I'd make as much as possible in the time and stock up for the next round of swaps Happy

Might have sneaked in again yesterday with my mate for a cheeky wee cuppa using the last of the vouchers and to jot down the basic instructions for a project i saw in one of the books... Kids caught us though so I had to bribe them with hot choc & brownies....

If anyone wants some greetings cards I do them to order and am willing to swap them in packs of five, for jewelry making stuff, quilting swatches or knitting yarn.

ooooh oooh i had a swap idea!
it's a bit early but a secret santa swap? ive done secret santa before at college, but it was ruined when people discussed with others what they should buy for the person they got, also they didnt know what to get them.
i feel that this one would work, maybe a good idea to do it towards the end of november so that it doesnt get caught up in xmas post?

Secret Santa sounds good Nikki.
At work we just all draw a name out a bowl and that's who you buy for, since last Christmas when I made an Yvonne-proof Hamper (Yve has Coeliac disease, so it was filled with all sorts of glutenfree treats and handcrafted tree ornaments) - the girls have all been fighting over who I get this time round ever since.

Its funny, I was thinking about a christmas swap yesterday too.
Mine was along the lines of making and wrapping a gift for the recipient to put under their tree and some sort of ornament/ decoration. We could combine both if you like? Also, my intention was that the swap would be open to all, so anyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas could say they'd prefer something seasonal (snowflake suncatchery things are pretty Happy )
