New Year Art Journal Page swap

Just a thought
OK so I want continue to explore Art Journaling in the next year-would anyone like to join me?
Fabric is my ultimate aim but I've just found this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIOKiH98nhY&feature=&p=233034C0AD76AAEC&index=0&playnext=1
Seems like a good place to start.Would anyone like to start with a New Year themed page?
My journal is 9x6 so that would be the size of the piece to be created

Cool, great idea!! I just started an art journal myself, actually have two started and was wanting to do a swap so this is right up my alley. So what are the rules for this adventure and will it be ongoing or what? That would definitely be a plus, of course then I think they would be something like art friendship books but hey, whatever, I'm up for it!

If 4 people are interested by November 25th I'll host the swap.
One page with a New Year theme to fit inside an envelope no large than 6x9 inches.Pieces should be on more than 1/4 inch thick. For metric peeps that's 15.2cm x 22.8cm. and 0.6cm.
Please consider that people will still need to use their journals so additions as flat as possible. You can included variants of inches twinches or even quinchies but this is not a requirement.
The aim is to explore a new technique ,create something to share and enjoy.
My only restriction is that if you have an incomplete swap that you contact me directly before signing up for this swap

Just a question about what this actually is. IS the art page like what the girl in the youtube video did, or just decorating the background of the paper so it could still be used ?

Angel Eve-for this swap it is what the girl did on the video i.e. to share a visual idea of what the New Year means to the creator.
This is a group on Flickr for Art Journal pages.

Angel Eve- don't be so modest.A very wise man once said to me "How do you know if you don't try ?" I've thanked him for those words many times.

Anyway we do have 4 sign ups for this and if anyone would like to join us that would be great.

I'm happy to leave this open and have people buddy as their Christmas load lightens. I also know that Christmas is stressful for some and to have an artistic distraction can be helpful. Many of us celebrated the New Year and lots of other festivals so I hoped this would be a way to share them.

Ok, are the pages supposed to 6 x 9 or whatever size our partner request they would like their page to be? I know you pretty much specified the size because that's the size of your journal Deb, but what if the rest of us don't have that size, though I will just be joining the pages I receive with book rings. I really don't know how that would work if you are adding pages to your journal that is already bound. Sorry for all of the questions, but I want to make sure I do this right as far as the size required.

Creative-just hook up with Odd and decide what works best for you.Make sure to clarify whether your portrait or landscape.
Book rings sound a cool option too.
My current journal is a very cheap spiral bound sketch book so it has spare space for adding in thin papers and inspirations.
