There are so many US participants that there ended up being one in every group... :o

<b>Partners for this swap:
Silver MOon + HTML ERROR

*whew!*

I'm pretty sure everyone has a partner in another country! Feel free to send me an angry message in all caps if I messed something up. Tongue If you didnt get someone from the country you 'wanted', you can always ask them to do a private swap with you at another time. (But remember: It is at their discretion, and you have made a commitment to this swap [so dont flake!])

... so I think that means we're all set to go! Be sure to contact your partner! Happy

NOTE: If anyone has a problem with their partner, or if your partner doesnt contact you back by the 20th of September, please contact me! We'll try and figure something out!

OK it's possibly too late but if anyone pulls out or pops up (wow that could be taken badly) I'm totally up for doing this too. Just wish I'd taken a look at the boards earlier Tongue
If I do get to join in at this late hour, here's my info Happy

COK Name: WitchArachne
Newbie/vet: Newbie (never done a swap before)
Country: Australia
what you would like your envelope to include/not to include: I'm pretty much cool with anything that fits in an envelope. I'm not much of a scrapbooker though, so it's best not to include anything that's really scrap-book specific (I can't think of any examples, but just in case). I'd love it to include something that's heaps like my swap partner or their country so I have something unique (for me, anyway) Happy

Is there limit on how many items to include in the envelope?

WitchArachne - Keep an eye on the board, and if anyone's swap partner doesn't respond by the 20th then you could be a backup? Happy

I think the original idea was to send a 8.5x4.5(inch) envelope to your partner. You cant really fit a *whole* lot in there, so I guess you could make as many things as you want?
You *could* ask your partner if they want to go a little bigger with the envelope (bigger dimensions, maybe a padded envelope)? But it's up to your partner. Happy Keep in mind that the larger your parcel is, the more postage you're gonna end up paying. :X

I'm think I'm a little confuse. I thought we were sending things like sweets, feathers, buttons, pictures, souvenirs, and other things like that. Are we making crafts too, to send?

I'm with Jeanette--not 100% sure anymore, though I do have some cute ideas about some small things to make and send! Happy

I think we can do a little of both (if you want to). I have some stuff that was listed to send (sweets, feathers, buttons, pictures, souvenirs etc) and a couple things I made Happy

If I caused the confusion but here's my rational.
There are restrictions in what you can send internationally ie food and organic things like seeds etc.
Packages in the US (and The UK) are sorted by machine. They should be as uniformly thin as possible ie unsecured buttons break machines and packages and will be lost.Actually I wouldn't send buttons unless in a padded envelope and then I sew them down.
So that leaves paper goods, fabric and thin stuff.
As always I feel it's up to the swappers to come to an arrangement that suites them

I'll be sending out either Monday or Tuesday!

Hmmm... I'm not sure what the original intention of the swap was, but I think store-bought would be fine for this one? Unless you wanted to make something, then that would be a little extra-suprise, I guess. Or you could talk to your partner and figure out what would work best.

And Essex brings up a really good point - I wouldnt want anyone's package to get stopped in customs or lost. :S Be careful with teas and seeds.

Has everyone been in contact with their partners?
