Fabric Swaps

Soooo.

I would like to start 2 on-going fabric swaps starting in January.

One would be for the United States area only. This one would be to fill up a small flat rate box with fabic, fat quarters, and scraps. The flat rate boxes are only $4.95 in the U.S. only.

The other would be international. This one would be a fat quarter swap. Where we will swap 5 fat quarters.

I would like to see who would be interested in either or both of these and if we get at least 4 people for either one or both than I will make seperate post with more details.

Thanks! And I hope crap loads of people want to do both. I love fabric. (=

Um... a fat quarter is a quarter of fabric in a big square instead of a long piece of fabric. It measures 18" x 22".

I will give this till Sunday and then I will match up some partners . I would like these to be on going. So, I am thinking of matching up people every 2 to 4 weeks depending on how many sign and resign up. (=

An ongoing fabric swap sounds great. Hopefully we can get more in the International one.....

Yeah, will be nice to get stuff you can't get where your at.

Maybe we could all post pics of the fabric we have to offer and then we can pick and choose the ones we'd use. Just an idea

I'm down for BOTH. But I don't think it should be judged by fat quarters. Instead, I think it should be a size of envelope...the US has flat rate envelopes for international post as well. We could measure everything via that and leave it up to peeps overseas to find their envelopes and deal with whatever postage they can afford. It's pretty easy to organize via North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and so on.

I guess for the international we could leave it up to the partners to decide how they want to do it. (=

And there is a post on here the crafty classifieds where you can post pics of stuff you have. I would rather be surprised myself. If you post pics and have partners pick then there is someone always left out.

maybe we can have a size rule for the scrapz? the size of your hand at least. and when we get a partner we could ask if they want us to post pics of what we have? just an idea

I agree with Tara that some people may be left out. On the other hand, I would like to know in advance what kind of fabric I'll get. There are fabrics that I know I will never ever use like certain colors and patterns (skulls, yuk!) or bad quality.
