ideas..hmmm

well i noticed this part of the board has been in active for a few days so i decided to make a new topic, father's day is coming up over here in the u.s....not sure if its the same everywhere eles...just remember causing a frinzie about mothers day lol. Any ideas on what you are planning to make or do for your dads? Happy

I'll probably just get my dad a couple of bottles of non-alcoholic beer. Buying presents for my dad is a tricky science; it has to look like I've made an effort, but only because I *had* to, and not because I actually like him. It's difficult to get the balance right

My dad is a proper eco warrior so I'm making him a reusable shopping bag from old shopping bags, and a cake, and maybe I'll decorate a plant pot or two for him.

I might find some plants but I think we're out of planting season now...

my dad is a cop, who enjoys a good game of halo and any other war related games, he retired from the army after 22 years of service....now I am blank on what to get him...i always make him home made cards but I want to do something different. I am going to bake a cake for my husband and have the girls decorated it for him so he is covered. lol

aaah poo I keep forgetting I don't have time or the money to make him something and I don't know what I would make him I'm gonna get him a book about training dogs probably cuz one of his dogs is very naughty! Presents for dads is hard.

My dad loves getting tshirts with stuff about Iceland on them, so he can wear them around and show off lol He has lots now, so I think I may make my own Iceland tshirt design and iron it onto a tshirt for him Happy
My dad is just happy once I remember, I think last year we got him a pro flickr account membership, he loved that!

my Dad is super hard to get presents for, everything has to be practical, you can't give him anything funny or a little silly and if you do he'll tell you off (sort of). He's so annoying and I can't buy him anything electronic related, either, he hasn't got a computer and only just got his first dvd player. One sucess thing i got him wasa charity voucher but in his name, I might do something similar like that again. Father's day in Australia isn't until September so I've got a lot of time but I still want to be ready. I once tried to cook him some biscuits as he likes his food but what do you know? he hates shortbread! aargh!

I was thinking of making my dad a an altered book with momento's from my cildhood in it because he really likes scrap booking and would probably like adding to it, also my dad's b-day was yesterday and father's day is in 2 weeks so it's a double whammy!
