Making buttons/pins

I want to make buttons/pins for a friends bachelorette party, but I don't know how Happy
I need them to pin onto shirts.
Does anyone know how I can make these at home without buying a button maker pressing kit thing?

Thankies!

draw onto a peice of card paint it or whatever cut it out then stick a pin onto the back with cellotape or masking tape. Also I love using felt so maybe you could make your design with felt stick it onto the card then a pin on the back like above. Fimo is pretty cool too. Which reminds me that I need to get some more fimo!

You can buy brooch backs from any craft store, you could make a little felt thing that can be sewn onto them. I'm always making brooches!

You can also glue brooch backs onto anything.

Making Stuff and Doing Things by Kyle Bravo has a nifty, cheap way to do that. You take the pop tab from a soda can, and place it inside a metal bottle cap, the small kind with the ridges that you get on soda and beer bottles. Then you put a safety pin through the two holes in the pop tab. Use pliers to flatten down the sides of the cap and hold the pop tab in place. Now you can decorate the flat part of the cap however you want.
