Graduation Presents?

My little brother's ex girlfriend that I'm still good friends with just graduated high school the other day. Her grad party is on the 17th of June and I'd like to make her something awesome.

Her favorite color is yellow, so I'd like to make her jewelry but I'd also want to make something more as well. I was thinking of possibly making a crown for her from yellow silk flowers.
I don't want to do the more traditional graduation gifts like money and gift cards--I'd like to give her something she can wear or use when she goes to college... just anything that's unique and in her favorite color.
She told me that she can't wait to see me so I really don't want to disappoint!
I'd love some other ideas!

My sister made me a really awesome money lei to wear while I graduated. She used our school colors for the ribbon and $1 bills accordion folded into flowers. It's a cool way to give money for a side gift if you're looking for something outta the ordinary.

Hm... if I decide to give money, I might do that.
So far, I've made her a yellow glass wrap bracelet and I think I am going to make her a gift basket full of yellow things... probably a soap bar with something neat in it, and a bottle of nail polish.

This probably doesn't help you, but for my sister's graduation I (am still making) made a set of Mace Windu's light saber hair sticks. That probably won't help you, but you could do yellow hair sticks and paint/mod podge ect. a flower design or something on. My sister also likes to draw so I was going to cover a journal in leather with some sort of embellishment or something. You seem to be going more for jewelery. Hurm. I like these earrings: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/wire-spiral-pearl-and-crystal-earrings and they can be customized easily. Not jewelery but hair clips. Feathers do of course come in many colors: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/feather-hairclips I can't find anything else that stands out to me. You said you make soap? Yes, if you do decide to give money, a fun way I have seen to give it is in soap. The money is rolled into a, hmm. Roll and then covered carefully in plastic wrap I think as to not be harmed by the soap. But I don't know how soap is made, so it might not be that easy. I am still thinking, I will probably come back but hope I helped for now-
