How to dance!?!

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I can't dance and I don't know how to! I have my leavers prom in 2 weeks, and how am I supposed to dance then?! Not like any specific type of dance, just to normal, "popular" kind of music... I just don't get it! What do I do, how do you move, without looking stupid?!? Any help would be AMAZING so I don't look and feel uncomfortable and like a fool.. Happy

I used to watch what everybody else did and then do that=) Don't worry, you won't look stupid, most people are so wrapped up in how they look they aren't bothered about what anybody else looks like anyway.
As long as you don't fall over you'll be fine=)

Have you looked on Youtube? There might be some tutorials or something on there. Youtube seems to have something on everything Happy

Am I confusing you with someone else but did you say a while back you did ballet? I know you're not going to start doing ballet on the dancefloor but you might find that it gives you some transferable skills so if you look at some dance dvds or things on youtube you might potentially pick them up quicker than a novice. Either that or you could rent Save the Last Dance Happy

yes, i did used to do ballet about 5 years ago; oohh hopefully that would help me pick up some moves Tongue
