Stumped

Stumped

I've been recently going through my WIP projects and attempting to get them all finished up and done. A few years ago I purchased fabric and made the main body of a dress inspired by a top I saw on Heavy Red. But the ruffles continue to allude me. If anyone has any suggestions on how I might go about sewing on ruffles onto a dress that is similiar to this top, I'd appreciate it.

Large zip ties also work as cheap boning for shape.

I took some paint, and glitter, and splatted that all over it, unfortuntly I don't have a picture. It was awesome. That was until someone stole it I believe. Happy

Plushies

Hi!
Recently I decided to make my shoe lover friend a shoe plushie.

I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a hoe I high heel with red soles, louboutin style.
However, the only kinds of examples I found were chew toys for dogs.
Does anybody knows where I can get a pattern of a shoe plush, or something similar to get me going on the right track?

All the help appreciated !

Do i need boning for corset?

I've made boning out of things before, not going to say it was the best boning, but it did the job (sometimes!). I don't see why a thick plastic cut into a boning shape wouldn't work, I used pieces of a wire hanger (tape the ends really really well if you do this, it will sneak out of your corset and at best poke you in the tummy, I got skritched up), cardboard seems like it might even work depending on how its cut and how hardy you need the garment to be.
