The Tales of Beedle The Bard

In the last Harry Potter book there is a fictional book about stories told to children in the magical world and it is a big part of the story. J.K. Rowling wrote these stories in a handmade book for charity and now it's going to be released in December, exclusivly to Amazon... mm near Christmas clever haha.

Hang on, I thought this wasn't going to be published, I thought it was just the 7 hand written copies that she gave to people connected to the Harry Potter books :s

*Dancing! Dancing!*

I must admit, I'll probably shell out the money for /both/ versions. But I kinda collect books. Books over food, ya know! (At least I'm not alone, together, me and my boyfriend probably have 2000 books. And no food... hehehe.)

I have no room for that many books! I always want to buy a lot at one time like on amazon because you need to have over £15 worth to get free p&p but then I find something else I want to read and have about 5 unread books looming over me. I think im gonna cancel that pre order when I have more money then reorder it with other books so I get free p+p. Weeee can't wait.

my little step sister got it for xmas this year and i read it in like an hour, it was horrible. nothing like harry potter, didnt even seem like the same writer, and in my opinion was nothing more than a way for her to make some more money.

I loved it. Very much in the style of Fairy Tales I read, and even a bit darker than some of the watered down versions I grew up hearing. Talk about shocking... I can totally relate to the poor children who listened to the Watered Down version in the notes in the book.

It's nothing like Harry Potter, but it wasn't supposed to be. I think I liked the Hairy Heart or Babbity Rabbity best... Tongue

I bought it for my boyfriends god-daughter for Valentines day.

She absolutely LOVED it !! She also read the complete book in a day.

Got to love 8 year old bookworms.

Happy
