High profile youtubers

I've been scratching my head for a few months now about something and finally I just need to rant about it a little (although at this point I mostly just find it funny,)

I've been banned, blocked and kicked off the subscribed list from a high profile DIY youtuber (I won't name names). And for the life of me can't understand why. I've been following her pretty much since she started and have supported her and all her outlets. A few months ago she posted on her blog about how she was getting down and out about comments posted on her youtube channel and I left a message of support letting her know I was still cheering her on and to take the break she was asking for and come back when she was ready.

She took her break, came back and blocked me from her youtube page without so much as an explanation as to why. I can’t even send her a message asking for an explanation because she’s blocked me from that too. For someone with literally thousands of followers I find banning someone who was subscribed to you to be pretty extreme. I must have really ticked her off if she felt the need to shift through the thousands of subscribers to remove me from her list and yet I can’t even comprehend anything I’ve done or said that would warrant that sort of removal. I know I’m pretty vocal and don’t like beating around the bush but I don’t go out of my way to be nasty and if people realized how much time I spend editing my content before I post it so that it is as nice as possible they’d realize that I really do care about not hurting other people’s feelings and it’s important to me to consider how others feel when posting anything that goes out onto the internet.

But alas! She does not care back. I’m trying to find the humor in all this but mostly I just find it a pain in the butt. I doubt anyone else has ever been blocked from a youtuber but if you have, I’d love to hear your stories (let’s protect the youtubers by not naming names though).

awww, some people yet youtube sucsess go to their head, you sound like a truly devoted fan and its such a shame she has taken you off like that Happy . I always find my loyalty lies in DIY site like this, thread banger and craftster. Im sure theres no logical reason behind it because all youve done was wished her well, sometimes people are just bonkers loonies who arent worth getting down about. Us crafters are resiliant creatures , dont let it get you down and im sure you'll find a better channel and teach her a real fan isnt someone you can ditch like that. I never got blocked from anyone but I wont name names I once put up a project on a craft website for cage cleaning, so many people said how it wasnt suited to rats (even though I did say it was for hamsters) I took it down to satisfy them. I think sometimes people get on their high horse and dont wanna climb down. I find with youtube way too many people blurt their silly opinions to people they think will listen, i commented saying i liked the song sung by the crows in dumbo and they said yeh you go ahead and support disneys racism, and I was truly hurt.

Pinkweeds, I received a similar response from Youtubers in a variety of areas. It appears you can say anything you want on your channel and your videos...but lose all freedom of speech when commenting on others. There were some people that no matter how rational or logical my comment, they still seemed to put me on ignore or attempt to invalidate anything I said with "wonky science"

I don't understand why you would be singled out and blocked. I wouldn't think the DIY world would be so touchy!
