I think the problem with bras is that they are like one size fits all, just because you're a say 34C doesnt not mean that a 34C is gonna fit right every where because everyone is a different shape body and boob wise.

Well it also depends on the type of bra. We do bra measuring at work and we always have to say that it will vary depending on the shop it's from and the style.

Dunno how many of these you've already checked out, but here's a list of web resources for women with hard-to-fit bra sizes (the main character of the webcomic Wapsi Square has a small frame and large breasts, and a good deal of the comic focuses on her frustration with trying to find clothing that fits and deal with the damage her breasts do to her neck and back, so the cartoonist has gotten a *lot* of questions from women with similar issues and finally just put together a link page):

its so depressing. My prom dress is starting to look like it might nt fit properly because of my boobs Happy the whole world is made for small boob people. damn, even in a world where large boobs are pleasure for men i'm still single out and cant find anything to wear!

if you bought one from knittin' kitten you can take it the band, it shouldnt be too hard. Or you can try and make one for your size Im sure there is a tutorial on bra making somewhere. Im not big but I know when I was pregnant with my son i went up a size and that was even awkward for me to sleep let alone the big belly that came with it.

Yeah, that must suck. I wouldnt know because mine are still tini, and they'll probably gonna be that way the rest of my life because my mom is 36 B 1/2 (which sucks cause i'm bigger than her.) So far im a 36A 1/2, but i get lots of my genes from my dad (hair, height, nose, big ol' feet) And i dunno any relatives on my dads side that i might turn out like because my grammy never had a daughter, and my grammies are altered with menopause, pregnancy, ect, i have no idea how ill turn out like. But i know my puberty isnt a lot like my moms because she gets HORRIBLE cramps and i dont, but i get SUPER moody (im 11). Well, i got off track. Im pretty sure health care is supposed to cover breast reduction because it can cause discomfort to a woman. You should call and ask about it.

Okay...first of all...for the girls who are saying they have small boobs....most average women go up in at least a cup size when they get pregnant...so there's something for you to look forward to.

On the other hand...I've heard that you do more damage to your breasts if you wear a bra that's too small, also, wearing a bra that is too small can cause a strain on your back. So...maybe someone can start up a chain of newly sized bra's for women? I mean...there are places now that do half cups...why shouldn't they do other types of bras..that aren't a total wallet buster!? Maybe we could all write into some company and ask them to make bras that will fit individual women...and maybe even get more women to do so. It could be the start of something big.

aw Jasmine I feel for you, I'm a 36 E and thats uncomfortable enough, no running, jumping, bouncing or even walking fast, or lying on my front without like 5 pillows, im due on at the mo and I cant even touch them without paaain. And there are two places I can get them inexpensivley (primark have them in my size but they dont fit! lies! though I have a very good one from peacocks, which I dunno if they have over there) but I will share my online sources!
www.bravissimo.com average price £30 so $60?
www.lasenza.co.uk from £12 ($24?) dunno where they ship though
Also Marks and Spencer (that great british institution) very well made and again from £12, although they do not ship overseas, if you know anyone over here they could send one to you...maybe in the form of swapsies? my bra from there enables me to not jiggle. If you really get stuck, my friend has a clothing company and could prob make you one my darling
so much sympathy! xx

btw, you can measure yourself! I prefer to because my also large chested friend went for a long time to a shop where they measured her then recommended products, so she usually ended buying something. she thought her boobs were getting bigger so she kept going back and it wasn't until I measured her she realised that they had been DOWNSIZING her to fit into THEIR PRODUCTS!

to measure yourself:
keep your bra on (the one that fits you best Not a sports bra) and measure around the fullest part of your bust, taking care the tape measure is straight and level across your back, a bra band should rest comfortably without hiking or pinching level with the bottom of the wires
note down the length in inches
now measure your chest underneath your bust, taking the same care that the tape dosn't dip (its quite good to have a close friend or sister or two mirrors to help you)
note down the length in inches,add four if it's an even number and five if it's an odd number, so if you were measured as 30 you'd be a 34" underband, and work out the difference between the two lenths in inches
e.g
chest = 30, so add 4 cos its even = 34
bust = 38
diffrence is 4 inches, each inch = 1 cup size (half inches are half cups)
1 inch = a, 2 = b etc so in this example the cup size will be d

another tip, when you try on a bra, it should fit perfectly on the loosest clip. this allows for when it gives out a bit after its been washed a few times

spread the info sisters! never suffer from ill fitting undergarments again! lol

I did that once and it equalled a C so either they've actually grown or I've been wearing the wrong size. My bras hurt now at the sides and the part where the bit that goes around the back goes has gone a bit swollen :S and it's actually uncomfortable to lie on my sides! I'm gonna go get measured properly and sort it out I dunno how bigger girls cope!
