TV Commercials

Normally, I don't have problems with TV commercials. But know there are 2 commercials that really annoy me. One commercial is for Vifit (Milk with fruit flavour) and the other for a online shoeshop. Both use a nudist-camping to bring there message across.

I think it's so *brrrr* (don't know a good english word for it) If it's on tv I allmost want to throw my tv out. Everyone knows that some people like to walk around without clothes. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with that. But why do those 2 brands resort to this kind of commercial? It's so in your face. As if they didn't have better idea's..

For the non-dutchies I found them on Youtube so if you want to watch..

I've never seen the commercial you are talking about. However, I feel hat TV in general today has resorted to inappropriate nudity to get their points across. I choose to turn the channel whenever something like this comes on. But it irritates me because I just want to watch a good wholesome show without the extras.

It is a shame when you have to watch movies that were made in the 30's 40's and 50's to get something good and appropriate.

This was a good rant. You picked a good topic.

I agree with mod, sex sells these days. I feel like such a prude sometimes, because I love the older classy sex apple of the golden age of holywood.

when women were fully clothed and not prancing around in thongs on a stage

lets not get started on the whole teenage body image issue in women mags, no one looks like that, its all photoshop. I know that because I work in the industry. Real models get zits, they get muffins tops, its all photoshoped out.

AS a photographer, I personaly am again shopping an image. I don't get alot of glossy mag jobs because of this. But real women are beautiful

I agree that you shouldn't photoshop pictures. It gives people such a crooked view of the world. A Dutch magazine once made a photoshop-free issue. A great idea in my opinion! They should do it more often.

i've seen the vifit commercial and frankly, i prefer not to have naked people walking around on tv when i'm eating dinner. or any other time of the day.
i think i know the shoeshop one too.
i dislike the using of naked people to get a point across. dutch tv is really open about sexuality. sometimes too open. (for example in the show oh oh cherso; there were 2 people having sex on tv. but it was under a blanket so they showed it anyway.)

American TV can be pretty explicit too. My sister is into Anime and my mom said she has to monitor the shows she watch. She said it can get pretty graphic.

I believe you Michelle with the whole photoshop thing. My next album is going to be called "Natural Beauty". Nowadays, people are getting so pumped up with Botox, silicone and everything else, no one looks real anymore. God made us in His image and the Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We should celebrate our natural beauty.

No, I don't want to look like either of those women:0) I had to look at the cat lady picture a little closer. She looks alien-like to me. It's scary.

I LOVE the fashion of those days. When I get my clothing line started, that is the type of style I will have.

The women in those commercials are so elegant. The beer commercials of toady are a far cry from the ones in those days. Sometimes, I wish I could go back in time and just live a couple days to see what it was like (minus the American racial issues ;o))

I've never heard of Size 8 Cereal b4. I just learned something.
