GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!!

I think i must have one of those faces that people don't want to gine money too Happy

It just seems everyone owes us money and trying to get it back is ridiculous! I ring, i write, i email, i even got solicitor for the Landlord's money. But still people take the ****!

Ex-Landlord owes £600 (although possibly £2400 as he never protected our tennancy deposit in the Tennancy Deposit Scheme which is a legal requirement in the UK)

Jet2 airline owes £50 (a prize we won on a scratchcard inflight in september still not recieved)

Arriva trains wales owes £26.50 (taken out twice for the same ticket)PLUS now some compensation for the train strikes as my partner had weekly ticket then had to find other ways to work

Talk Talk owes £22 (fro non-direct Debit charges when we had direct debit set up)

A friend also owes us £60 but that's not an issue as we know when we'll get that back.

So now i'm actively watching every penny i spend so we have enough when the bills go out and we're owed a total of at least £758!(and possibly £2558!)
It is a JOKE!!

I just wish money didn't make the world go round Happy It's really getting me down having no money all the time.

I feel you, people think I make alot of money, I do, but it all goes on bills and I am usually left with $50 to last two weeks-and that is usually spent on buying groceries

I have student loans, car payment(need the car as I live in a rural area and need to drive to work-in the summer I will walk it, but not in -20), bills. Phone, internet, its costly

I have been with the Landlord, but we've got local MP involved now whos finding stuff out for us about him and how many cases like ours have gone to court over the TDS and won. I'd love to take £2400 off him the little rat. He claims to be a barrister so thinks he's above the Law, be a right slap in the face for him to lose in court!
As for the others, i managed the £22 from Talk talk today after threatening to leave them (again). Happy Gonna email Arriva again as they're taking too long replying, and Jet2 I'm gonna write another letter!!
Also think our council tax is in the wrong band to top it off!!

That sounds like a total headache! I feel for you as I know what it’s like dealing with the struggle of making ends-meet.

I used to really struggle when I worked for the school district. I'd make less than $900 a month and I would only get paid once a month so I would get my pay check, pay all the bills and then wonder where I would get the money for groceries that month.

I hope things get resolved for you soon.

So i'm now having to apply to take him to court to claim our money back -more money we haven't got. BUT if i'm having to take him over £600 then i'm gonna go for the 3x as much too (plus interest of 6months) to teach him a lesson. He's broken the law by not putting our deposit in a scheme (and admitted it to us) and now he's gonna pay for it.
Then we're gonna report him to trading standards etc and anyone who'll listen!!
Gettin so peed off with having to chase everyone for OUR money...GRRRRRR!!!

AAAAAAAAArgh. That's always the way isn't it? I find if I ring to pay, it's picked up... if I'm owed cash, on hold for hours. Bah.

"He claims to be a barrister"

If he is saying 'I am a barrister so...' to defend dishonest practice or intimidate a non-barrister law-wise he is 'bringing the bar into disrepute' and can be fined or even suspended. Contact the Bar Council of Great Britain. What's good (from your perspective) is they are always eager to haul people over the coals (less good if someone just starting out mails some paperwork to them a day late and they slap on a fine...).

Just for the record, I am NOT a barrister but have worked in Chancery Lane so know some. Happy

When i say that, he HAS trained as a barrister but isn't practicing as one (told us he's one though not to defend this-he doesn't bother replying to us over this). My MIL did some digging around about him on the internet, madness what you can actually find out about people! :/

Oh I had this same problem a landlord owed me $800 and I only recived $300 after, what I feel was, pulling teeth. It went on for months. The contract I signed when I moved in was fake and the company that owned the building ( also on the contract) didn't exsist. Very sketchy situation and was very happy to leave, but I still wish I got that $500 from him. Try all you can for that money crappy landlords need to be taught a leasson if they decide to be so dishonest. Good Luck!!!
