Ahhhh, I love Monty Python! Scratch that. I love all British humour! Mr. Bean also has a special place in my heart.

One word that I seem to be using alot lately is "gorgey". Example:
"Laurel, check out that gorgey boy over there!"
It really comes in handy Happy

Monty Python were soooo ahead of their time. I love Spike Milligan too ;)

I love love love Mr. Bean! I've watched him growing up and we have all of his movies/shorts on VHS. The latest Bean movie wasn't a great as I expected but it was alright.

I was able to catch some very old specials of Rowan Atkinson on TV one night doing his stand-up routines and they were hillarious! My favorite was his invisible drumkit.

Here's a Youtube clip of it if you are interested:

@Selina....If you get a message titled 'Look at my canned meat' don't open it, it's SPAM....

*rolls round on floor giggling* hahahahaha ;D

@Becky...I've met Rowan Atkinson when I was filling up my motorbike at a petrol station on the A1. Ironically we share the surname. He's so wound up all the time. A bit like a coiled spring ready to go boing. I can see how he developed the Mr Bean character. He is very funny and liked my impression of Mr Bean. I do the Whistler's mother speech....Lol

This is all great stuff...!! Blackadder gives non-Brits a real taste of the best of dry / ironic / very silly humour which is the thing that i miss most when abroad...
I remember watching Not the Nine O'clock news in the early 80's (i think) when Rowan Atkinson et al first broadcast their 'alternative' humour and many sketches can be repeated ad lib in much the same way that classic Python is...
For those who are interested, the (fairly) recent series 'Life on Mars' gave a fab view of life in the UK in the early 70's (very entertaining view of old school policing... not at all politically correct ....)

Slap and tickle.... nookie..... hanky panky.... all references to sex....
apart from rhyming slang their is also backslang.. i cant remember much but Next Door becomes what sounds like Texan Rude (it next door backwards.. geddit??!!) my dad knows a lot more.
I use arse over tit or base over apex (in polite company..!) for fallen over.
Another rich vein of south London humour can be found in Only Fools and Horses, a series set in a South London housing estate. The main character is Derek 'Delboy' Trotter who says 'Luvly Jubbly' quite a lot. I have watched it to death but now my kids are addicts and so there is no escape.....!!!!
