And lots of Ayla hugs!! I bled for about a week starting around 1 week after my previous period had ended, before I found out I was pregnant with Sofi. From what I've heard, I was most likely pregnant with twins, and lost one, based on the, um, color and all....
I really hope everything is OK with you, and I hope they're wrong. Either way, though, I'm praying that YOU come out of this OK. I love you too!

I'm so sorry that you have gone through such a tough time. It is possible to bleed in the early stages of pregnancy and the pregnancy to continue.

It must have been doublely worrying for you with having had a previous eptopic preganancy and the problems associated with that.

The problem that the medical bods would have had is that your symptoms looked liked a miscarriage (medical abortion) and your test results showed you were pregnant.

In medical terms a medical abortion is what a lay person calls a miscarriage.

An abortion is known as a termination of pregnancy by medics.

It's important that the difference is known in case the medical term is overheard and women get upset about the terminology.

It sounds like you had what they call 'a missed abortion' which is the medical term to describe the positive pregnancy reading with the signs of 'miscarriage'.

There are so many reasons that this happens and it is more common than people think. Some women have this happen and don't even know about it thinking it's a heavy period. The cause often isn't known.

It sounds like you have gone through so much pain and uncertainty. A D&C (dilitation and curitage) is a good idea to take away any retained materials that could cause infection. It will be uncomfortable and you will need to rest.

Get others to help you do the everyday things and remember the dust will be there tomorrow. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Sending you a one armed cyber {{{HUG}}}

That's super scary. I just went through a miscarriage and I can fully understand how stressful that is. The only positive thing for me is that I got pregnant. For me this was never a possiblity. I was told I couldn't get pregnant at an early age so I didn't even realize I was pregnant until I was almost finished with the miscarriage. Honestly glad I'm no longer pregnant though, the last thing I want in my life right now is a baby.
