Pet shop gave us the wrong gender..

In January I bought my Green Basilisk from the pet shop. The guy told us its a male and he's about a year old. I thought it was kind of weird that he hadn't started developing the crest on his back and tail yet but my parents told me he would probably start developing them soon because he was still young.

Today, while researching stuff for my project on animal adaptations, I discovered a site that told me he should have started developing his crests at 13-14". That means that the pet shop lied to us about the gender and my basilisk is a FEMALE because she doesn't show any signs of crest development. I specifically asked for the male basilisk.. Its probably too late to do something about it now though because the other basilisk was sold a week after I bought mine.. I'm so pissed off right now..

No, go up there and complain. They probably charged you for a male. I know that chameleon prices range on gender, usually males are a lot more expensive.
