LOL you deffo are ready for some serious zombie arse kicking!!
deviantART lets you watermark sometimes - it depends on the size of the artwork.

I have posted a how-to on different ways to protect artwork online, so as soo as it's approved you can eat your heart out!!

Well I couldn't post it as a How-To but I've made it into a topic post here: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/board/general/chit_chat/4164-protecting-your-work-online

It explains the variety of ways in which to protect your work online.

I hope that this will help people on CO+K and stop people at least stealing the pictures of your creations/tutorials.

I 100% agree. I was really impressed however by the pick up on one of my how-tos. For my Milla Jovovich bathing suit I posted the picture of her in it and while you can technically "view" that picture if you spin the little pictures around it won’t let you look at it. I thought it was hilarious when a week later one of their bigger DiYers on here posted pictures that were clearly not their own and the restriction placed on my picture wasn't placed on theirs. Favoritism I guess.

Well PinnkWeeds, that's because you actually made it! Kudos to you, that is cool!! You used an image that wasn't yours but you used it show what inspired you to make it, so projects like that aren't what got us all flipping out. Other people are just down right using someone else' work and posting it as their own.

You could always post people's plagiarism on http://www.youthoughtwewouldntnotice.com/

I think there are some very valid points made on this thread. It's a sad situation when we have to consider water marking our work when the spirit of the site is to freely share ideas. Becky and Creative thanks for all the info and work you have both put into showing us how to protect our intellectual property.
To all those who are just starting crafts. Enjoy the process of developing your skills.
Remember that things you may find difficult now that more skilled crafters are making have come from years of practice and making some whoppers of mistakes. Feel good about your work no matter how simple it may be. The thing is you made it so be proud of your achievement. Just PLEASE post your own work.
There are lots of people on this site with a wide range of skills so if you get stuck that's what the 'Help board' is for. Someone somewhere will have answers. Happy crafting Happy
