Creme eggs are only sold from January to easter, so what are they gonna do for the rest of the year?
And after they said that there wouldn't be job losses GRRRRR

I haven't read most of the posts to this, but I'm right there with you on the American Apparel ads... It does seem like porn. They really should be removed or something, has anybody messaged the site creator or anything?

Rachie - from what I understand they promised not to close the Birmingham factory when they put in their bid. Then after they won the bid there was talk on closing it or I think they did close it. I know now that there are going to be meetings with Kraft & the UK Gov (according to my Marketing lecturer) because they took back their word. Something along those lines.

Hi everyone, we've sent a message to the advertisers asking them to end this campaign! Hopefully they'll get back to us soon.

I can't stand those ads. Not to mention, the owner is a scumbag, but those ads are just exploitative, period.

Hi-

Suzi P, as an educator I am slightly concerned about what they are teaching at your school. Is this in biology, PSHE or health studies? I have a qualification in human biology, plan PSHE (sex, health and body ed) for a whole yeargroup at my school - and I can tell you 100% that having large breast size has nothing to do with childhood obesity- full stop. I am shocked that a school would teach that! Oestrogen production is related to hormones and body fat. You can be underweight and have large (natural) breasts. To teach young girls otherwise is awful- as many will wonder how they suddenlt get big bosoms on a thin body. If I were you i'd get down to a public library and check out an encyclopedia, then take the encyclopedia to whatever teacher told you that breast size is related to childhood weight: because it isn't.

i figured, if oestrogen production is related to amount of body fat, it'd be logical that you get bigger breasts if you have more body fat.
if this isn't correct, then i know that now. of course its also connected to genes, that's logical i think.

Estrogen is related to body fat, but that's not the whole story. Body shape is determined by so many different hormones. There's a hormone that will tell your body to store fat and one that will tell your body to lose it. Estrogen will tell your body to store fat, but only in certain areas--like the breast, glute and hip regions. It's the other hormones that also have roles in fat storage that add up to the overall body shape of a woman. So a woman who is slightly thicker all around can have low estrogen levels and smaller breasts, but her bust size isn't really an issue because people look at the overall image.

Think of it like this, men have testosterone as the main hormone that gives them their gender-traits. So why do men get hair on their chests while some don't? Why do some grow beards more easily? The levels boost the ability to grow hair in certain areas, just like estrogen allows the storage of fat in certain areas.

I only find them annoying because all the models have AMAZING legs and i don't =
Apart from that i don't really mind :/

I have some respect for their ads, actually. They use normal people with normal bodies, and they don't photoshop them to look perfect. I'd rather look at those ads then see ads for lip enhancers or for bikini waxing lol.

@SillyShannon-Agreed. I hate American Apparel as a whole because they only recruit employees based on their looks. My sister is trying to apply for a job there and basically they are going to take a picture of her send it to L.A and then the Americal Apparel Headquarters will decide if she is pretty enough to work their...it's so wrong :/

They are very revealing to say the least . and the way they use tiny stick thin models instead of good well rounded people with hips ! Im proud to say I have a massive bottom and I plan to boycott american apparells skinny , half naked clothing. One add you cant tell if she is wearing a skirt or a belt !

Haha.

A little extra pudge does NOT = big boobs. I'm a little chunky, but my boobs are hardly out of training bras and haven't grown since 5th grade.

So...obviously...not.

Just wanted to put that out there.

Yeh I know the feeling Im quite chunky to and my chest is tiny , but a big chest is not everything hey most people with big chests end up with chronic back pain so hey atleast you will have good posture lol Happy
