DRIVING WHILE ON YOUR CELL

i'm better now just very angry yesterday we almost got hit yet again by some old man on his phone really? im driving cause i have to get to skool and work if not id ride a bike or something less dangerous

i can't even bike and call at the same time =P
and i'm not allowed to drive a car for 3 years anyway. so i'm not really that dangerous i think...

god I would be scared to ride a bike too, because I have seen cars hit bikes and drive off. So not cool

Gosh no me neither, not less that I feel like I'm going to fall off the back of the bike if I'm a passenger. But also because you see some crazy arse accidents where people on bikes are typically worse off than the car drivers... *shudders*

my bf and i have made it a game of climbing in and out of the passenger window
the girls insurance tried to intimidate me and what not asking me stupid question like "what color was the car that hit you? how do u not know the street name? la la la im sorry i was having a panic attack and did not pay attention to these things? and most annoying, did u talk to the person who hit you ? seriously and tell them what.. OMG love u just f-up my car? was omba on ur phone? bleh!
my mom threatened to sue the insurance company for emotional distress and they backed off
my car=p trash but i love it anyway
currently waiting on my tax income my mum and std (stepdad) are trying to help me get a new carrito(car ^_^)
went to the doctor who gave me these crazy pain killers/ muscle relaxers i was passed out for like 14 hrs and now my back doesnt hurt! the miracles of modern meds

i really hope to get a good settlement even if its just to well have my doors working all in all the bf and i are swell. ^_^

you are very welcome, now we must lobby our governments and towns to push for stronger repermands for those who get caught or cause accidents. A fine is just a slap on the wrist, they need jail time. Causing an accident is a very serious crime.

For such a serious crime, going to jail won't do much. The worst form of punishment for them would have to be having their car taken away for a set amount of time and having to take some sort of class. There should be like a 3 strike kinda thing, if they repeat this type of offense numerous times then their license should be taken away indefinatly

I really feel for you here. I was in a similar accident a few years ago. Only I wasn't driving...I was crossing the dang street! This woman was on her cell and made a quick left turn and didn't see me. She was driving a Jeep Cherokee and I'm 5'0 even so witnesses said that I must have flown about three feet. After the settlement and physical therapy, I'm okay and she's still driving around. (We live in the same neighborhood.) I caught her on her cell again while on the freeway and immediately told my brother to call the cops and give them her license plate number. It's illegal to talk on the phone while driving here. Since she has a record of doing this, CHP caught up with her in a few miles and I got a good laugh outta that.

Don't worry about the getting nervous in your car thing...it's a natural reaction and will lessen in time. The worst is the instant jolt of fear you get when you spot something coming up on the side of your vision. But again, that will lessen along with the pain in your muscles.

Get better and make that girl pay! (Sorry, I get bloodthirsty about stories like this.)

Driving on your cell is now illegal here. It came into affect about two months ago or so.
I think my older sister still does it though.

thats why i get so angry when i see people driving on their phones. most people cant drive properly as it is but add talking or worse, texting to the mix and its just plain stupid. my boyfriend and i were almost rammed by a house wife in a giant suv because she was on her phone. i got even angrier than i susally would have gotten because not only was my neice in the car but she had her children in the car. why would you put your own children in danger like that?! its just insane to me. she didnt even hang up the phone afterwards.
