yeah The school i went to 9-11 grade had a student counseling so kids with problems could find someone to confide in and help we also had a group who were out to get teasing to stop they did pretty good except for the signs that said "it' not ok to say gay" kids just made fun of them we even had teachers who had a no tolerance if they heard someone use the word gay(it actually did a lot of good). maybe if more schools truly cracked down.my school senior year was very redneck and very homophobic and it was annoying and if there were any truly out gay kids there they would have a problem its people who are small minded who can't except it unless there hitting on you it doesn't really affect you get over it i hate homophobia my grandpa is gay and i learned many words early on because of small minded idiots

At my high school if someone was openly gay the chavs would've just beat them up whenever they got the chance. I'd like to think people at college are more open minded, but if we had any sort of event like that pink shirt day I can guarantee there would still be people who ruined it by taking the piss
