I wasn't just referring to the sick SOB who raped that baby. If the Bishop or whoever in that church is wrong in the head, then he shouldn't be there. That crap about man's law isn't precedence over God's law has some merit, but come on people, abiding by man's law keeps God's law from being broken and vice versa, they kinda go hand in hand don't ya think? I don't think the majority of people who do crazy, illegal shit is going to worry more about going to hell than going to jail.

I agree, Creativemind. People are people first and <insert religion here> followers second. Secular law is what most people are more concerned about. God's law and man's law definitely go hand in hand, though, as most secular law is based on some kind of moral code heavily influenced by religion.

Yeah I know the Secular law plays a bigger part in this than anything, but it's immoral to banish a child from any church because a serious decision had to be made to protect her life as a result of her being so brutally violated which she had no control over or could stop herself.

It just pisses me off how people think like that especially when it's concerning an innocent child.

Yes, it is immoral to excommunicate the girl.

I don't believe the little girl is excommunicated, it is only the doctors and her mother and whoever helped them. I think there is some rule regarding minors being excommunicated. In that they generally aren't.

but still, what's going to stop this bishop from making her feel bad, that she let her mommy kill her little girls (cause bishops are messed sometimes) and even if He just excommunicated her mother and the doctors, in a way the excommunicated her. A mother is a child's life line, without their mom's they can't do much. And i would not go to that church without my mother if the monster was still allowed there.

At the end of the day, they don't need the church. It is awful what they did to the family, but not surprising. The church has rules and they broke them. Just a pity the church isn't as harsh on pedophile priests and holocaust deniers.. well until the media outs them that is.

What's sad is that the bishop says"murder is a graver sin than rape", so in his mind what he would have been happy with was the girl going through with the pregnancy, even if it resulted in the death of her and her babies, as then in his eyes, that would be gods will, not by the hands of man.

oh gosh, I agree. I think we are in the age of man, not spirit nor religion nor gods. Use your brain, I see rape as a worst crime, specialy an underage child. A child

Yeah, and one upon a time i understand why God's will would be more important, but now a day's with science being so safe, verses deadly, why do we put peoples lives at risk because something that is also against God's will.
