babies having babies

Yeah I was reading about the new "father" in the Metro yesterday. Their local council's paying for a paternity test to clear it all up.

And I don't really feel sorry for the mother at all to be honest. I can see why you would, but at the end of the day she got pregnant and kept the baby so now she has to live with it because that's the choice she made. And the fact that she's slept with at least 3 people when she's only 15...
The person I feel sorry for out of all of this is the child. She's always going to be remembered as "the one with the 13 year old dad"; the other children at school will tease her and the parents of her peers will look down on her and her parents.

I don't want to get into 'that' argument again... but they really ought to have been told all about abortion and it should've been strongly suggested that they ought to have one. Neither of the kids' families have enough money to support 'Maisie' properly. And it's not just money, I know, I'm sure that kid'll be loved for by someone somewhere, but the two kids, the dad especially, is yet to go through the 'fucking around' age that all kids do... I don't want him to miss out on that, and I'm sure he doesn't want to either. That kid'll be two ish when the mother's allowed to go out clubbing and the dad gets to the drug age. It's just all wrong.

I know loads of young mothers, I live in Swindon haha... and I know a lot of them just lumber their kids on their parents when they go out clubbing and taking E...and whilst they're all "I love my kid!" they're terrible mothers... one of them pushed her kid around town in a buggy in the winter without putting shoes and socks on it. That's just a small example that I can say for sure about but I'm certain it gets worse.

I think the legal age to have sex at sixteen is there for a reason... most people aren't ready for it and certainly not ready for the possible circumstances. When I was about fourteen I thought I was the only one not doing it, but I look back and I'm so fucking glad I waited, it's just weird.

Well, look at the Caylee Anthony case in America, the mother whose daughter was found dead. Apparently Caylee's mom would knock her out with things so she could go partying.

That is despicable. That is so fucking terrible! How could you do that to your kid, whatever age you are!?!?

Besides, I'm not like saving myself till marriage or anything, but I'm definetly waiting till college. I mean, first off I'm not an idiot and having sex at 15 or 16.
And the possible consequences are enough to scare me away: and I don't even WANT a kid.
And then really my school is so small and none of the guys are...*ahem*...spongeworthy.

but i mean, im still with him so it's not bad, and i know he would still be with me if something did happen.

I'm not for the "save yourself until you get married thing", but if you are then good for you and I've got nothing against it, it just wasn't for me. I'm still terrified about getting pregnant or getting an STD though, because I'm in no way at all ready to have a kid and I wouldn't really want to have an abortion, and if I got an STD I'd be too embarrassed to get it treated or if it wasn't cureable I wouldn't want to have to live with it for the rest of my life and risk passing it on to every other partner I had.

It's all just about peer pressure really, people feel like they NEED to go and lose their virginity or they'll be shunned by their peers. That's probably why these kids had sex, so they could look "cool" to other people their age. I think that's probably the reason why I had sex for the first time, because I was desperate to fit in with everyone. But looking back now I can see that was really the wrong decision and I should've waited a bit longer and not worried about the "Oh my god, I'm still a virgin, I'm such a freak" feelings that I'd been made to feel.

this girl is 15 and she had 3 lads on the go, I couldn't get even 1 at 15!!! and I'm prettier!

I knew someone who lives in London and she went to an all girls catholic school and there was no pregnancies at all! while I went to a mixed school and there was loads and loads since.

Jas - my boyfriend would LOVE to go to work and be able to watch Seinfeild!

I don't think I would be boasting if I had three on the go

what do you guys think about teachers having sex with their students?

Haha yeah I didn't have a boyfriend at all until I was 14, and even then it was only a few weeks long thing with one of my close friends which didn't work at all. My first decent boyfriend wasn't until I was 17 and even then that only lasted for a couple of months.

Quite a lot of people in the same year as me are having/have had kids - a couple are having a baby in July, one girl's on her second child, another girl apparently had a baby and gave it up for adoption, and my ex boyfriend's ex girlfriend had an abortion a few weeks ago.

And Michelle, my high school French teacher got fired for sleeping with a student. Not a student from my school though. The guy she slept with is a friend of a friend at college now which is a bit strange. I don't really think I agree with teachers sleeping with students at their own school, but if it's a student from another school who is over the age of consent then I don't really think there's anything wrong with it - the student is old enough to consent and make their own choice about who they have sex with.
