What do I do about it? I have feminist morals and I don't keep quiet about them, quite obviously. I know it's not changing the world, but I think I might help a few people feel better about themselves from time to time, and that's enough for me.

And thankyou Rainbow Funster, mine likes a smile as well.

Well, Roma you've given me some hope Happy

p.s. Did you read the bitch article? A guy who's tough is all assertive etc but a woman's a bitch if she's like that, a man's a stallion if he sleeps about a woman is a slag? But where does all this come from because I don't think about it like that, I only thought about it like that when I watched loose women, we're free to do whatever we want really (within reason) and you just have to go off the grid and see yourself as a person, rather then a woman and know that you can just get on with it...random!

In Michelangelo's day the male form was seen as the best of the two! Gustav Klimt just loved women, even if he did sleep with a lot of them he probably quite liked them. I think all women have this unspoken sexual power and if you start thinking about it it's like, really we do have this amazing power, and women these days do everything, kids, jobs, craft!

I'm feminist as well, but I was just making a minor point which I think most people misunderstood cause it wasn't really anything to do with the thread haha

but just think about how much gender roles have changed from 100-150 years ago, woman are getting treated a lot better than they used to so in another 100 years things may be even better! we can't lose hope yet! =D

Hey America ALMOST had a female president - anyone else sick of hearing about that, I know all their names and I don't even get to vote! We had Thatcher, and that was in the very late 70s! But she was rubbish but that's nothing to do with her being female. Having said that there's not many women in our Government but it's not as glamourous as being a WAG is it...

I don't think anything can be perfect or sorted out properly, people on mass are pretty crap, I'm not saying I accept that or that nothing can be done of course...ooh look i've gone off topic again!

Ohh Okay Roma, I was just reading really quick and I was just like ... "??? huh???"

I understand now, and Tara... this is just MY thing... BUT JESUS NO PALIN! I'm all for woman power, but I'm against almost everything she stands for.

She is against pro-choice
She is Okay with the "stay in the iraq war for 100 years"

She is everything I wouldn't want in a president or vice president D:

BUT, I also wouldn't want Hilary, she is to... extreme for my tastes.

And I used to feel the same with the "I KNOW I can't change the entire world, I'm one person" UNTILL I found this quote which I thought about and realized how true it was

"never doubt that a small group of people can change the world. Indeed, its the only thing that ever has" Happy

Which makes me feel better... because I think individuals actually CAN change the world Happy

yes, individuals can! Yeah, I know. I just hate how there is always such a limited choice on who we can vote for. You have to pick the lesser of two evils! Can we get some good canidates!? Can we!

It sucks that Thatcher was England's only female prime minister - it means people can go "No women shouldn't be in power, look at Thatcher!"
Come on, she wasn't a real woman. She was a robot woman.

I saw fembots!!! NIPPLE GUUUNS!

I hate how politicians never talk about what they can/will do, only what the opposition wants and how that's wrong and what they've done wrong, it's so petty, good luck US! I'm sick of hearing about how we need 'victory' in Iraq, to me that's like saying it doesn't matter how much it costs (money and lives), it doesn't feel like they're trying to wipe out terroists.
On the subject I feel really sorry for our prime minister, Gordon Brown is being blames for the credit crunch and what Blair did wrong, I will never vote for pouncy 'Daddy sent me to Eaton' wankers! They're worse then Labour...

(We keep being all like 'ooh noo off the subject' but that's what conversation is, even if it's in text)
