thats cool soon you guys will be off doing your own thing and thats when youll really get a chance to see if the relationship is something to keep pursueing from what you say hes a great guy and age isnt really something worth holding over his head unless you were like 14 and he was 22 i would kill my daughter lol
but thats not the case

I think as long as you like him, its all that matters. Sometimes parents are protective, but once you show them you are being mature about it, they relax.

Maybe they are scared that you will leave?

I have had a few boyfriends, some they have liked and some they didn't. But they always said it was up to me.

I have very liberal parents.
