OW!!!!!!!!!! IT BURNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the beach yesterday and I got sunburnt.... badly sunburnt. I can't even walk!!! I can sorta limp... that's the only way I can get around. And changing my clothes... ITS REALLY REALLY PAINFUL!!!! And I'm all sore from the waves. And if anything touches my sunburns, anything at all, I feel like screaming! And the side of my head hurts where my brother's board hit me. I missed the first day of school because of this! I never miss the first day! Never! And tomorrow, I have to go to school no matter what! What should I do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Get a good aloe vera with a topical anaesthetic. Of course even that might hurt going on, but it'll be better once it kicks in. And for soreness take ibuprofen. Hopefully when the teachers see you, they'll understand Happy

This is going to be gross... But putting butter on your burns also helps. It like pulls out the burn or something. Also drink lots and lots of water, it will help your body heal faster ^^

NO NO NO, NEVER EVER put butter on a burn! Butter does not pull out the burn, it SEALS IN the burn, so your skin continues to heat up.

The last time I took CPR/First Aid training, our instructor was a EMT/First Responder, and he told us about the times he's had to scrape dead, burned skin off of patients with a scrub brush because they put butter on it, and the butter and the skin cooked together and formed a crust. It's one of the worst things you can do.

Drink lots of water, use aloe vera or lotion, and take baking soda baths.

Yeah, aloe vera's good. I got pretty burnt when I went on a Biology field work day to a beach a couple of months ago (right on my chest, urgh) and the first thing I did when I got back was head down to Tesco and buy a big bottle of aloe vera body lotion. It was nice and soothing Happy

noooo not butter! or ice, thats the worst thing you can do because you further damage your skin with a cold burn.
best thing ever is plain live yoghurt straight from the fridge, that actually does draw out the heat. its a bit icky cos you have to wipe off the hot yoghurt to put more cold stuff on but it seriously works, worked when I got mild sunstroke.

I've never done butter my mum has... I didn't know that it sealed in it... ee I always drink lots and lots of water when I get a burn. I also put sunblock on even on cloudy days
