@MischievousRaven Howdy near neighbour! Happy I love charity shopping, I've always done it! But then I'm usually poor so maybe that's why I like it so much!

I see you're from the UK and I'm from the USA and I have a question. The term "Charity Shop" does that mean like "Thrift Shop" does here?

I think so SamiLynn Happy Here you donate your clothes to charity and they sell them in their own second hand shops to raise money for the charity, is that what happens in the US with Thrift stores too?

SamiLynn @secondhandsusie yes that's the same in the US. we just call them thrift shops. but I personally call them op shops or charity shops even though I am born and raised in the US Tongue

Hey @secondhandsusie - I love making pom poms but can never thing of that many crafts to use them for afterwards, what kind of things do you make with them?

Also, my Mum's a library assistant too and loves gardening, reading and Doctor Who. You guys should be friends Wink

@catmorley Aw your mum sounds cool! Happy

I'm mostly making my pompoms into garlands, to decorate the garden, so just string them together. I love making them but can't really think of much to do with them, I'm toying with the idea of making a pompom rug (like this one http://meetmeatmikes.com/all-about-the-pompom-rug-in-frankie-magazine/) and I once made a soot sprite from a pompom, but that's about it!

Just to clarify thrift stores and charity shops are one and the same thing.I'm an expat who lives in Seattle WA now.I have a great story about my Aunts local Charity Shop in the UK closing down and I received a care package of all the lace and buttons they had left over.
Search for "pom pom craft books" there are quite a few around. I think there's a board on Pinterest .

You should make little sprite characters in all different colors, those would be so cute! I want to learn to crochet, but I can never seem to find the time now.
