Cosplayers?

I used to do a lot of cosplay but haven't in a while. I now do more video game costumes rather than anime.

When I was doing it I made a Tohru from Fruits Basket, Caroline 'Yukari' from Paradise Kiss, Midori from Midori Days, and Maria from Paranoia Agent costumes. I plan on finishing my Tsukiko Sagi from Paranoia Agent and Nana O. from Nana sometime soon.

Video games wise I did: Ashley from Resident Evil 4, KT from Okage: Shadow King and a Spider Splicer from Bioshock.

I would still like to make a Prince or Cousin (not sure which one) costume from Katamari.

I love cosplay. Making costumes is a passion of mine. I love finding the materials and getting all the special details just right that make the character.

I've never gone to a cosplay convention, but they sound like tons of fun. But I do make cosplay outfits and goof off in them around the house occasionally.

I'm starting up a business where I will be designing digital dress patterns for cosplay in size 8-22.
If anyone is interested please come look at www.indiegogo.com/rapturecostumiers
and like us at www.facebook.com/rapturecostumiers because I will be taking character requests later down the line. My first set are lolita patterns and all will be printable on your home printer with some assembly required.
Also comes with instructions for beginners.
I think it would be awesome if people also then used their costume patterns to create their everyday wardrobe. I personally do not want to wear clothes from the supermarket for the rest of my life.

It's prolly the dorkiest thing I've ever done but I've been to Fanime and one or two local conventions in town but I haven't gone in years. When I went I mostly used what I had on hand like my real private school uniform with the skirt and socks and stuff Tongue

I'm a little sad I only started sewing after I stopped really going cause I could make some kick ass costumes now Happy

I like cosplays that are accurate to the characters but ones adapted to realistic clothing. The ones that try to capture all the impossible cartoon aspects just look silly to me...

I've done a few cosplays mostly for school as my school has a theme day every year it's actually next Friday the theme is book and tv so I'm going as coraline. My first serious cosplay with props and a costume although I've made tons of Harry potter props including paper props

I recently just made my first cosplay as princess mononoke.
I love dressing up. It isn't that widespread here in Nz but there is a yearly convention called Armageddon where cosplayers tend to show up and show off Happy
It's fun so I would like to make more cosplays...

@tsukiyou start with simple costumes, usually cartoon characters are easy, and work your way up. Your looking for characters that dress casually but the outfit is easily regognisable

My 2 best cosplays where haru haru from hitman reborn, her costume is simple but very girly so for me it was perfect. Then I went as leela from futurama, which was trickier getting the eye to fit and whatnot, its always best starting small, and check out devian art to for ideas. Harry potter cosplays are brill Happy

I've always wanted to cosplay, as i read/watch a lot of anime & manga. But they have Zero events near where i live. & no one would go with me anyway. :/ ....but one day, i will go to ComicCon! >.<
(& bc someone mentioned it) It would take me a total of 2 seconds to be Nana O. from "Nana" manga. LOL I really wanna be Tank Girl tho, Johnny the homicidal maniac, or Gaz from invader zim.
