Help!! How to accessorise this dress?!

For those of you that haven't seen my other topic on one of the other boards, I am attending a wedding in about 4 weeks. I was going to make something but I went shopping with my friends and found a dress that I liked:

http://www.evans.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=20554&storeId=12553&categoryId=192515&parent_category_rn=69555&productId=1680629&langId=-1

I like it, it looks better on me then on a hanger btw... the only problem is that I wanted something with colour as it's obviously a summer wedding. My friend suggested that I have colourful accessories - I know not to get patterend accessories, block colour is key with animal print. However I don't know what colour I can wear with it, without looking tacky.

Help!!

Much appreciated, also if anyone else has any tips or advice they wish to share that would also be much appreciated!!!

Hey honey, thanks. It helped a little bit, I guess I'll see something when I go shopping that I like and be like "I want that colour!!"
I was thinking either blue or purple maybe? Red is nice but a bit clique and I'm worried that it'll look a little tacky?!

I would probably go with blue- red would be a bit tacky and it might make it look cheap....

That's kinda what I thought, maybe blue would be nice Happy Although I'm kinda keen on purple too, though it is my favourite colour so I'm bound to say that Tongue thanks for your advice Happy

Check out the colour wheel for ideas. Complimentary colours are opposites on the wheel. You have more than one choice with your dress being animal print. Try avoiding the obvious ones like red & grey as it may be too much of a statement. Make sure you match the tonal values of your colours too so that they blend rather than fight each other Happy

Gold. Or turquoise? Your shoes/jewelry/ purse should match and it will pull together nicely.

Hey thanks people. I took Kat's suggestion on an old thread that I did about a Wedding outfit, in which I also mentioned this problem. I tried out Polyvore to give me some sort of idea on what works well. Kat did an animal print dress wth turquoise which looks fantastic, purple looked ok, but turquoise looks better!!

LOL Turquoise it is, it seems a pretty unanimous decision and it does look really good. Anyone know where I can get turquoise things? Moreso shoes perhaps?

errrm try New Look; accessorize has lush, delicate stuff although they are more expensive; my local Primark seems to have quite a bit of turquoise accessories at the moment so youre bound to find something cheap n cheerful there; maybe river island, although they usually do quite bold pieces; topshop has lush shoes but they are pretty pricey; dorothy perkins has slightly-expensive jewellery etc, quite a wide range;;

thats about all i can think of at the mo Happy

hope my rambling on was of some use Happy)
