I dont have dress codes in my school. WE even have a wacky tacky day wear we can wear our bras outside are shorts or the boys boxers over thier pants. WE wear costumes and a whole bunch of stuff that day. ITS FUN!

well, my school only allows jean or capris at the knee or longer, no heals above 1" and grey, white, navy or red polos or a school shirt, but we might only be alowed to wear school shirts they sell next year, which is crap because i buy organic cotton polos and they fit well, and the shirts they sell are all baggy and weird tucked in. And they say they do this to make everyone equal... girls are still carrying around their stupid coach purses and designer jeans and shoes, so it really has no point :I Sorry about this super long rant Happy Im rantsy today.

i know right! its ridiculous. and they have like coach gym shoes
if i was rich enough to buy coach shoes, i would probably not wear them to gym class

kind of irrelavant, i dont like coach that much anyway

The point of uniforms is to make the students equals, right. So the rich and poorer kids wont be labeled because everyone wears the same thing. But either way, there will always be kids who will pick on the kids who don't wear Ralph Lauren polos. The uniforms dont really help at all. when you think about it.

Yeah, even if you have a uniform there's always the type of jumper you wear, the shoes you wear, the bag you have, the hairstyle you have... people find any tiny thing to make people feel crap about, even if it's only because your jumper isn't sleeveless or completely clinging to your body or something stupid like that.

yeah, people are meanies, and even if you dress perfectly, whatever that may be, maybe they'll pick on your acne, or hair, or size. Its ridiculous.

I've had this one girl pick on me because I bought my skirts from one uniform distributor, and she bought hers from the other. the only difference was that mine was longer and had sharper pleats.

I was never too much of a fan to wear the uniform but it did have its benfits with not having to decide what to wear in the morning hahaha I was always one to sleep in till the last minute. Sometimes I even slept in my uniform so that I didn't have to get dressed in the morning hahaha. They weren't overly strict at my school but they had a thing against denim shorts. I used to get in trouble for that because I hated wearing skirts back in those days and my only other alternative was my denim shorts. Once the principal called me into his office and called me a hippy because I had a denim skirt on and a denim wristband I had made (yeah reeeal hippy like Tongue). I couldn't believe he called me that. This was like my very very last day of school too (last day of year 12 if I remember correctly). My principal was a bit of a douche though. That was 7yrs ago now and it still irks me to this day Tongue It was so uncalled for.
