i saw a post like this once before and there were some fairly good suggestions, so i'm coming back to you guys for help!
basically, i sew little bits and bobs as i fancy and i'm wanting a name to make a FB business type page to try to sell things.
as an insight, the main thing i aim to sell is lion & cat stuffed toys, for £10 each with £5 of each one going to Born Free Foundation. if this was all i was making then i'd be fine: Carry's Cats. but i tend to make other things too out of odds and ends - all sewing though.
any ideas? or should i just stick with carry's cats and sell other stuff regardless :S
(ps. i go by carryfiasco on most social networking sites, and a lot people seem to think fiasco is my last name and/or just call me fiasco, so maybe that's something to work with...)
If the cats are the primary focus (as in 60% or more of what you'll be making to sell) then I think it might be fine to stick with a cat-related name... maybe Stitched Kitties.
Just think of some words related to sewing: stitches, fabric, needles and thread. I'm sure something will come to you if you're stuck on a name.
I named my shop after my cats nickname (Woodle Doodle Dandy) and have him on my logo. Although I don't sell cat related stuff it means something to me and I think its good to get a name that has a personal link to you. I would start by writing down everything in your head related to what you sell the charity and what's important to you and just play around with the words and see if anything comes out of that.
Cats from Scratch
(Haha, I love this kind of stuff...)
Craft a cat
Catty Crafts (for a little attitude)
Raining Cats and blogs... (oops, showing my age.)
Paws and Shop (Get it? Pause...and shop?)
Ok, ok, you get the idea. Good luck!
thanks guys! i'll come up with a few ideas and see what friends and family think
i think in general people i know in person, know that i like cats regardless of whether i'm making the toys so it maybe makes sense to have something cat related... haha
@Ravens Trove they were some awesome ideas!
Awwww... thanks. And, good luck, whatever you do!
