Fabulous!!!

A local college does a dog grooming night course, it runs for 3 months from September and February. It's not that much money and a parent is giving me some towards it and I know I'll be able to save up how ace is that! If I get a job soon I will definatly have enough. Most places are on half term this week so I doubt there will be anyone on the phones at the college but I'm gonna try tomorrow probably now weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Another place I phoned about it ran a 10 day course for £1500, it's kinda far too and the night course is MUCH cheaper so weeee again, I'm back on track Happy

don't worry you're still young! When it came to the time I was supposed to know I had no idea, I thought I wanted to do art at uni only a few months ago and people change careers even much later on in life. My mum is gonna pay the fees with her credit card and then I'm gonna pay her back once I've saved up which means I'll probably be able to start this september Happy

hehe yep. It sounds like ill be on my feet a lot which is what I need I want to be busy not sat around bored and I get to work with doggiiies! I need to save up for the equipment as well though the college might do deals on cheap equipment and will probably lend me some while I'm on the course, I found a good website and they have some nice work clothes for groomers too although if I work for a shop they might provide uniforms...haha I always get carried away I'm thinking too far a head!! but weeeee fun.

well I may have to wait till next feb or next september (2009) for this course now! But I think I may be able to get it for free. At least that's something I'll have to pester them near february. There's some where else i can do the course for cheaper but it's further to go. Booo life keeps giving me lemons, so I make lemonade, and then life squirts the lemonade in my eyes!!!! Oh well the economy might have recovered a bit by then.

i wonder if you can take some online classes, this way it can get you started so when feb comes around you should be prepared on some of the topics they are going to cover. I dont remember if you said something about picking up a part time job at a pet place but I am sure you can volunteer at a animal shelter, this way you can get some hands on experience as well.

well I have phoned every pet shop in the area and no one had any jobs, there was a job going in one of them apparently but on the day I got a lift to the shop it was closed and the letter box was quite far behind a gate across the door so i couldn't put my cv through and there was no sign saying there was a job anyway.

I was going to volenteer but there are no animals are the local RSPCA place they get sent to bigger places and other places are too far/hard to get to, the good news is that i phoned some dog groomer salons and two took my details and one will phone me back tomorrow to have a 'proper chat' about it they were very busy at the time, so hopefully I'll be able to train on the job but I'm trying not to get excited. Also I made a tenner getting rid of old phones by sending them to those things were they give you money for old phones Happy

UPDATE: I phoned the dog groomers again, sounded busy again and he said he was gonna phone back in an hour an a half but then said if I went in to talk that would be better so I'm gonna go tomorrow, sounds really promising!!!
