Blogging

I've just started blogging this year, to document my resolution of 52 projects in 52 weeks, and the adventures of opening up a new online store with some family members, I have gotten an insane amount of views I feel since I haven't really promoted it all all except on the board post a few down about blogs in the subsection. But I still only have 2 followers.......what are your suggestions for attracting followers?

It takes a long time to gain followers. In a year I've gained about 55 followers on my actual blog and about 7 more through another site.

Just make sure people know about your blog, post it everywhere. Advertise for it on as many profiles and sites that you're on as you can. Eventually you'll gain followers.

My blog is mainly about DIY fashion but I also do small other crafts and talk about whatever is going on in my life if something life-changing is happening.

your blog is really nice :] I really like the post about the book for your boyfriend. it was really cute. I started a project this where i'm writing in a journal everyday, little love notes to him for a year and I thought it'd be cute to give it to him on our anniversary as well :]

Awh your blog is so cute! I'll admit that after years, I'm finally coming around to the idea of blogging and am using the time it's taking for my domain to transfer to integrate my website into one. What I've found from 'successful' bloggers is they tend to be heavily involved in their communities- be it part of a group blog or simply boards/sites like this.

I love being inspired by posts like yours!!

Thank you for the comment about the journal Chelsearaye, Its been a difficult past 18 months financially and I had to try to find things to give that were not expensive but held some sentimental value. Last year I gave stitched portraits, one of which you can see in my projects on here.
Thankyou everyone for posting blog links, I have enjoyed looking through them all x

I started mine through blogger.com, which I think is through Google. They have hundreds of backgrounds and layouts for free, if you want to check mine out, it's fistfightsandfairylights.blogspot.com
Seriously, they make it really easy to start one. And you can add a gadget on the side of the screen with a link to your etsy or whatever online store.

I had originally used Blogger too and it is sooo simple to use! Happy Definitely one of the better free ones! Then as you get a little more accustomed to how to change designs and get your own hosting or whatever, maybe give Wordpress a go? (I think they do a free hosted blog service too actually...)

This is mine what I did with mine: http://www.almost-alice.net
