Monika, I love the idea for your party, and your so right about PA! I used to live in PA myself -_-; I know what you mean XD

Cassie B. and I grew up in the same town, so we definitely know what you mean about the drinks in PA. It must be the woods...

Personally I think the Medieval feast is an awesome idea! Our college had a big foam sword battle complete with costumes and it was so much fun! You definitely can't go wrong with it, as long as the older generation doesn't get hurt Happy

i did nothing for my "important" birthday. i tried. people didnt reply. this was for my 16th,18th, 19th, 20th and 21st. (its a really personal blow, u could say a cut to my already small ego)
i officially gave up ever trying to do anything for my birthday. the only person who has gone out of their way to see me and be with me on my birthday is my fiancé.
my friends actually had the cheek to ask me why i didnt do anything >.<
so just do what you want.

Nikki, I know how you feel. For my 20th birthday, I invited 30 people and only about 5 showed up and one of them wasn't even invited because he was a creepy stalker... he stole an invitation off of someone else, I don't know how.

My "Sweet 16" was a total bummer. I can't even remember my 18th... I just know it wasn't worth celebrating.

My fiance and roommate are psyched for the Medieval birthday bash though!

part of me wants to do something for my 22nd (all the way in december), but i dont want it to be a flop. one year i tried meeting up with friends to go shopping, some turned up then went off to do what they wanted.

I'd hate it if I invited friends to come shopping with me and they all went somewhere else. I mean, the least they could have done was tell you where they wanted to go so you could have all gone together.

I ended up getting rid of the friends who couldn't even bother driving 10 minutes to my house for my birthday or any other occasion. When I went home to PA for spring break, I told two of my friends I wanted to see them, so we planned to go to a craft store the day after I got home. Neither of them ever showed up because they "didn't want to drive in the rain." I was like, wtf... YOU DON'T GET ANYWHERE IF YOU DON'T DRIVE IN THE RAIN IN PENNSYLVANIA! It got me really mad at them. The easiest way to make me abhor someone who calls herself my friend is for her to find a lame excuse for why she ditched me.
