Sending overseas

What company do you use to send items overseas?
I saw a sign the other day for a company I cant' remember advertising £35+ to send a package overseas.
I was wondering who you use and how reasonable their prices and shipping times are as I will be sending out items to America and other places in the next month.

I just use the government post. SO the USPS. And they are pretty cheep if its under 1 Lbs. never has been more that $4.00. A few times when the post office was closed I used UPS or Fed Ex and they werent too much more. I send a small package to Italy and it only cost $6.00. I know its different in the uk but, all my swap partners have said its pretty reasonably price, just thought I'd toss in my info Happy

Any place that offers flat rate shipping is probably a good place to go to. USPS has a lot of different flat rate box sizes, but I don't know if there's anything similar in the UK.

Check out the Post Office website - you can choose which country you're sending to and the weight of the package. For example a 250g small package to USA costs £4.06.

The Post Office are really helpful and good value but can be slow. You'll need to fill out out a customs form if it's anything other than paper.Make sure you reflex the value in your package accurately and keep the receipt.
You can use paper only package too which is cheap as they don't have to run it though customs.
Otherwise UPS and Fed Ex are expensive but fast it cost $35(20 pounds) to send legal docs via UPS last year.
Get friendly with your local post office-if you still have one ;0)
