Party themes? :)

Hey guys!
I'm celebrating my birthday with my friend in october or near it, and we're having a quite big dance party. However, we want to make something really special about it and we don't want to waste too much money. We probably already have a location, we know who we want to invite, just one problem.. The theme. We really want an awesome theme. I've looked at websites already, and they all come up with the same themes: Pretty in pink, all in white, and me in red, masquerade, those things. We just want a really original party, which no one spends a lot of money on with buying clothes and so Happy
We're quite crazy, and were thinking bout a drag queen theme already, but we'd like some more ideas Happy
Does anyone have any ideas for themes, or tips for the party itself?

I could state the obvious and say work of a halloween theme like a big costume party (zombies or vampires ect)
OR

Ninjas vs Pirates party (guests choose either pirates or ninjas)
Geek Party (dress up as nerds)
Freak Party (dress as outlandish as possible)
Old people party (funny as hell especially for a dance party all dress up as elderly people.)

I once went to a party with the theme "You'll never see me dressed like this again!" where you wear the worst combinations of clothes you can put together. We had extreme colour clashes, guys in tutus, people in turbans, etc. It was really funny. You could even have a prize for the "Worst Dressed" to make it more interesting

I like Crafty Geek's suggestion of a zombies -maybe you could make it a drag queen zombie themeHappy

Monster theme- kind of a given though

these are very funny themes but might be hard to work into a party Tongue i wish you luck with it though

How about an Unbirthday theme?(from alice and wonderland) there is a ton of decoration ideas, for it, like getting fake flowers, taking the flower of the stem, and glueing it back on upside down. Going to a thrift store and getting a bunch of different tea cups and plates for people to eat and drink from. The outfits would be easy to, just put together non-sense. you could get card decks and thread them together for a banner. Also crazy looking table clothes with bright colors wouldn't go amiss. Sandwich cut into odd shapes. The possibilities are endless, and filled with AWESOME! I've always wanted to have a party like this! It's fun, colorful, unique and thrifty!
