Quilts for Japan

This project came to my attention yesterday and I thought I would share it.A place where US crafters can support those affect by the earthquake in Japan by making quilts

I have a couple of pieces of batting in my stash which will make child size quilts. So the boys have agreed to piece and I will sew.We aim to have three completed by the end of the weekend.

I'll also send pictures to our friends in Kyoto as they are still very much in our thoughts.

This is really neat!! It's a really good idea, it would definitely give comfort and help relax those in Japan.

This is such a beautiful idea! I'm sure it would be of comfort to people in Japan to know that people from around the world were thinking of them and cared enough to send a handmade item during such a hard time. If I knew how to quilt I'd absolutely be making something. Good on you Essex Debs!

Two done. All the components of these had been given to me so it feels good to pass them on as a complete project.

Craftyfox if you can use a machine sew and sew felt you can quilt. The strip one as a thick felt with a sheeting top.

The third is improving a little trickier but stood be done by the end of tomorrow
